Bakers, Bikes and Farms

A short drive to Pu Xin Farm (埔心牧場) will give guests 2.5 hours of agricultural experiences starting with a novelty train ride around the leisure area and lunch served with local ingredients. After lunch children will transform into little farmers, where they will have a unique opportunity to milk a cow as well as learn the tricks of cowgirls and cowboys.

Departing from Pu Xin Farm, it is only a short drive to the famous Kuo Yuan Ye Museum of Cake and Pastry (郭元益糕餅博物館). Children and parents will embark on a tour of the facility, where all participants will discover the passion, craft and efforts that go into making these delicious treats. After the tour, guests will challenge themselves and enjoy a unique DIY Shortbread Pineapple Cake making experience. 

From here, guests will take a bus to Yongan Fishing Harbor to pedal their own private 4-passenger group bikes on a sunset ride along the ocean through the Xinwu Green Tunnel (新屋綠色走廊). Families will then travel to the Lin Family Leisure Farm and B&B in Dayuan District, where they can take time relaxing on a working farm before joining the group for a unique brick chicken bbq dinner and social evening.

Wake to the sounds of agricultural lands and a home cooked breakfast by your host, Mr. Lin. Guests can take their time exploring the farm before enjoying a morning filled with DIY activities that touch all the senses. Children and parents will either harvest sweet potatoes that will be used to prepare a local sweet potato dessert or pick Rosella Flowers and return to learn how to make healthy Rosella Flower Tea (depending on the season). Children can also paint their own weaved, grass hats that are so quintessential to Taiwanese agriculture lifestyle. 

Departing from the farm, families will enjoy the experience of riding 4-passenger group bikes for a short slow roll through Dayuan District before arriving at a women-led and small-scale farm. This exclusive and private facility is by reservation-only and a delicious farm-to-table lunch will be served. Children will create lasting memories while feeding farm animals, learning about animal husbandry and the reality of local farm life from the owner. A short bicycle ride from lunch, guests will arrive at 溪海花卉園區 garden center for the final attraction of the day. Here the children and parents will participate in picking local herbs and making unique tea while participating in a succulent plant DIY activity.
